We went to Holden Beach this year and it was awesome - way more than we can try to recap. We have been so fortunate with weather for so many years and this year was no exception. This was the first year where our boys really engaged with the older kids and it was so nice….for them and us. They especially enjoyed Brayden and Kaylen shown here though the older girls introduced them to making rainbow loom bracelets which was a hit.
All the kids. Katie is such a sweetheart. I dont think I have ever been around a baby that is as content as she is. Her presence is actually peaceful…and I dont think I have ever thought that about a baby. Such a sweetie!
Here is the whole gang! Such a fun group of people to share such an intimate few days - prepping meals and playing games (LOVE BLOKUS) and the relaxing ebb and flow to and from the beach each day. We feel so lucky to have these friends in our lives. …and here are a few more shots to capture the trip:
Heath was a bit timid in the water still and Alder was his most adventurous with waves yet.
As a result, we found ourselves back at the house with HEath alone a bit more this year, which was nice sometimes.
And here is a shot of one of many meals/snacks. These bigger kids can EAT! IT makes me a bit nervous about how we will feed our boys as they grow and eat like adolescents.
