Les, I'm sorry but I dont really get it. Are the colored things supposed to look like cartoon characters? Are they countries (continents)?

Its a rendition of a world map where countries are "swollen" or "shrunken" to display their relative contribution/expression of whatever the title of each map is. If you click through the slides it'll make more sense.
