Heath: Want PaPa pick-a-me up
fum skoo. (repeated 3 to 4 times)
Me: Well, PaPa is not available today. PaPa is riding his bike across North Carolina
today.
---30 seconds---
Alder: Daddy, when I grow up, I want to be wore out.
Me: (Laughing, as I knew where this was probably going.) What
do you mean you want to be wore out?
Alder: I want to be wore out like PaPa and Granddad, so I
can not go to work.
Me: Well, one day you will be worn out, I promise, and then
you can do whatever you want.
Alder: When are you going to be wore out?
Me: Not for a long time still, but one day I will too.
Alder: Then you won't go to work?
Me: Only to the work I really want to go to.
Alder: (processing)
Heath: Want PaPa pick-a-me
up fum skoo. (repeated 3 to 4 times)
Me: (sigh)
Secondly, this picture, Les took with phone, that I love. The overexposure of the sunlit shirt against the mysterious space of that rootball is just jewel-perfect randomness:
I know I still owe a post on Heath's obsession with baseball (and now Dan Zanes). Heath is proving to be very much an all-or-nothing type of guy, taking things to the very limit of his capability. More soon (hopefully)...

I can hardly wait to see Grandad's face when he reads this one! So precious! The other day when Skyping with Les and the boys Alder said "Granna, I wish I could go through the computer to your house". Heart melted! Looking forward to a great fall weekend with you all. Love Granna
I remember wanting to do the same thing with the TV and the phone when I was a child, mainly to ride with Bo and Luke in the General Lee. Maybe to kiss Daisy too.
