post surgery update

Alder has been doing very well since his surgery on Tuesday. In fact he seems to have adjusted to his new casts better than the previous ones! He is starting to focus on our faces and turn his head to our voices, which is so great to see. Hopefully he will grace us with his smile soon. He gives us a prelude to his smile when he is falling asleep - his eyes dart around under his eyelids and he smiles and sometimes chuckles...it is kinda weird, but cute nonetheless. Jason thinks that he must be dreaming about things in his past life.

Here are some recent photos - it is tough for me to see that he has changed much, but maybe you guys can see it more than me b/c I see his every day.

I can see him changing, but not too much. He's lost that newborn puffiness, but still looks a lot like Jason and still beautiful.

Love the picture of you and Alder....precious, and good of both of you. You look great!

Man, life sure does change: there will always be chillin, stayin clean, gettin tired, and being teased by the powers that be (first 4 pics). But, for a few short years you get a mom's care and protection (5 and 6). And Adler is soaking it up. ;-)
Great pics!
