Another 5,000th First

Life's firsts coming at us like never ever before. Like snow hitting a dark windshield. Today was Les' first day going to the University and taking Alder to someone else to take care of; our baby sitter. She did wonderfully, but she did recognize that it is strange to see Alder for only "a couple of hours a day"...indeed.... It was also the first time that he spent with someone else for so long, but as far as we can tell, that wasn't a big deal to him at all. We figure this based on what was today, his first note that the babysitter sent him home with.

I will admit that for a second I felt like the beginning of payback for being such an angelic little sleeper was upon us... a note already? Alder is suspended from day care?!?

No, a fantastic note... poops, sleeping, cooing, eating (absolutely none of which were firsts). Sounds like the first day at daycare was a breeze. Mom and Alder each doing bee-utifully with it.

And so here are some photos that I found on the camera that I liked. They may even be in sequence:

much love namaste everyone

Thanks Jason! What a big day. He is going to do just fine - and everyday may be different for a while.

I LOVE the pictures - I really see his blonde hair coming in! He is beginning to look so different.

Thanks to you and Lesley for keeping up the blog. It helps us so much to be able to know what's going on with you guys and to see how he is changing.
Love, Granna

I loved being in your world for a few days. Thanks for being such great hosts!! Glad Alder did so well on his first day at the sitter's house. How were your first classes, Les?
love ya'll. Jen
